CHETNA
CHILDHOOD ENHANCEMENT THROUGH TRAINING AND ACTION
WE BELIEVE IN EMPOWERMENT OF CHILDREN


INTRODUCTION
CHETNA is a DELHI based NGO working on the issue of street and working children in DELHI, NCR REGION, UTTAR PRADESH, HIMANCHAL PRADESH AND UTTARAKHAND with special focus on girl child.
In PANTNAGAR, CHETNA STUDENT WING is working for the overall development of school going children. We organise competetive events and extra curricular activities.


OUR VISION:-
Achieving child friendly society and system which ensures rights of survival, protection, development and participation of child.

MAIN AIM OF CHETNA ,DELHI
Street children are on the streets noy by choice but by compulsion. Poverty, Urbanisation, Shrinking, land holding, uninteresting education and several such reason are some of them.

MAIN AIM OF CHETNA, PANTNAGAR is to enhance the creativity of the school going children by providing them a suitable platform.

CORE PRINCIPLE
We ensure children's participation. The children with whom we work have designed programmes and activities of CHETNA based on their needs and perception.With us, children are the protogonist and we are the catalyst.


WHAT WE DO?
Direct interface with children
  • Study and recreational centre for children
  • Extra curricular activities and comptetive events for enhancing their potential and skills.
  • Linking more and more chilren with formal and non formal education system.
  • Linking up eligible children with vocational trainings with the help of government programmes.

  • Advocacy for CHILDREN FRIENDLY POLICIES
We advocate child friendly policies, at several relative field.
